Board Member, ISoP
Hilda is a current PhD Candidate in Drug Regulatory Science & Pharmacoepidemiology at the department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmcoepidemiology and Clinical Pharmacology at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. Her research focuses on Drug Regulation and Pharmacoepidemiology for Pharmacovigilance in Africa. She is also the Deputy Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Advocacy and Training in Pharmacovigilance, Accra, Ghana.
She was trained as a Biologist and Data Scientist. Hilda worked in the United States Biotech/Pharmaceutical/Medical Device industry for 12 plus years mainly in the areas of Drug Discovery/Clinical Trials. She relocated back home to Ghana in December 2012 to pursue a career in public health, research and academia. She travels extensively across Africa supporting Ministries of Health in building systems for Pharmacovigilance and Drug policy. She is married with two children and lists cooking, traveling and dancing among her hobbies.
