HOW TO JOIN & FEES

If you wish to join the Society, please select ‘Apply Now’ from a category below, complete the following application form which will then be reviewed by the ISoP Secretary General. If your application is accepted, a confirmation together with instructions of how to register and pay will be e-mailed to you within 1-2 working days of receipt of your application.

ISoP membership fees and Membership Categories

  • Annual ISoP membership runs for 12 months ending 365 days after the date of payment
  • Membership fees should be paid annually in Euros
  • The fees are expected be paid via credit/debit card during the registration process
  • You will receive an e-mail confirming that the payment is effective
  • Alternatively, bank transfer is possible. Instructions will be sent by email when your application is approved
  • Membership is for individuals only, is not transferable
  • Membership is automatically renewable each calendar year.

Fees for members from Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) have been reduced after the 2020 General Assembly following a successful negotiation with Springer Nature who agreed to reduce the subscription to Drug Safety for these members.

All ISoP memberships include online access to the full content of Drug Safety, the journal of the International Society of Pharmacovigilance

Reduced Membership Conditions

*Student rate: Full time graduate, post-graduate, or undergraduate (to qualify as student member, please provide proof of status/registration to be sent with the application form)

*Reduced Income/Special Circumstances: This membership category is reserved for applicants who are: On long-term sickness, unemployed, on unpaid maternity leave or other unpaid career break, on unpaid study leave or Retired for a period of more than 6 months.

*Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs): Reduced fee memberships are available to potential members from LMIC countries working directly in pharmacovigilance.

Applicants must work and reside OUTSIDE the following countries (World Bank classification 2020): Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong SAR China, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea Rep., Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macao SAR China, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Chinese Taipei, Trinidad and Tobago, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay.

*Not-for-profit organisations: National Health Authorities, National Pharmacovigilance centres, Academic institutions, Non-Governmental Organisations involved in Public Health, Public hospitals and Medical Institutions contributing to the Public Health System.
*Commercial organisations: Pharmaceutical industry, CROs, Private hospitals, and other commercial organisations.
