15th Annual Meeting of ISoP
On behalf of the ISoP Executive Committee and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), it was our great pleasure to invite you to the 15th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP 2015), in Prague, Czech Republic, from the 27th to the 30th of October 2015. Use of medicines has become more complex than ever before, bringing significant benefits, as well as risks to public health and patient safety mainly due to the adverse reactions, interactions, and medication errors.
The topics of drug safety and risk/benefit balance have therefore become more of a challenge for health care professionals (physicians, pharmacists, nurses) as well as for drug agencies, scientific organizations, universities, state authorities, and pharmaceutical industry. The 15th ISoP Annual Meeting offered a unique chance to discuss these particular topics from different points of view and to share ideas on how patients’ safety could be further improved. The goal of this event was to raise awareness of drug safety best practices worldwide, by sharing newest information on science and solutions among stakeholders.
