Monitoring the safety of medicines in special populations.

This event (Session 8), virtually scheduled during the NMPA Pharmacovigilance conference in Nanjing (China), was jointly organized by National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), Center for Drug Reevaluation (CDR), International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP) and Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC).

The ISoP and China Chapter collaborated with the CDR NMPA for hosting Session 8 of the upcoming Pharmacovigilance Conference scheduled from the 19th to the 21st of October 2021. The theme of this session was “Monitoring the safety of medicines in the special populations”.

This event was aimed at addressing essential topics along with the implementation of ICH guidelines and the recent GVP, introducing global practices and experience to China regulatory authorities and professionals working in the field of pharmacovigilance. It was also aimed at building up an international platform for health institute, academic, pharma industry with international pharmacovigilance experts to enhance the exchange of pharmacovigilance knowledge.
